Description
Here’s a Lake Sunapee history for you. These maps were originally made in 1911. You will possibly find your home and who lived there in 1911. Or at least who owned and lived on the property. There are names that have been synonymous with Sunapee for years.
These maps were found in a handout that was given to passengers on the early Lake Sunapee steamships. Along with the map came “Hancox’s Double Indexed Guide” it showed all the locations of homes of summer and winter residents in Sunapee, Newbury and New London. It was both alpha indexed as well as by number. It also included ads for the local steamships, hardware stores, hotels, real estate company etc….. We include the guide with every map.
The map comes in any size up to six feet tall. As well as a wall paper version. It has been digitally enhanced so that it beautifully readable in any size. We have choices of what we think works well for framing.
We have several sizes available here at the Sunapee Harbor Gallery.
