The MV has a long history on Lake Sunapee. In 1966 the MV Mt Sunapee II was launched. The hull was constructed in Somerset Massachusetts and trucked up to Sunapee. It’s been refurbished many times, but has always been modeled after the original MV Mt Sunapee I. Here, Jack Harkins catches the boat at rest and waiting for it’s next passengers in Sunapee Harbor. She will take those passengers from one end of Lake Sunapee to other, showing off it’s splendor and explaining our history. They will see the three lighthouses, Loon Island, Herrick Cove and Burkeheaven. They will pass Great, Island, Little Island, Star Island, Burkehaven and Minute Island. A wonderful all encompassing motor around Lake Sunapee.
Jack Harkins is a local and lives here on the lake in Sunapee. Jack painted in oils during college before pursuing a career in industrial Design . Graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA and a Bachelor of Industrial design Degrees, he went on to co-found Farm, a medical product development firm in Hollis. NH.
